Testimonials
During the ten years that Chico Center for Learning has provided services to the community, we've helped many students and parents. Our clients have attested that CCL has truly put the joy back into learning , and brought smiles, confidence, and self-esteem to the students, helping them learn their way.
I think what we as a family appreciate the most about the staff at Chico Center for Learning is their ability and desire to think outside the box and continue to do their own independent research so that the ever growing and changing needs of my children are met. I really do not know what we would have done without these wonderful people.

Chico Center for Learning is a place where I send my students who need expert support and tutoring, especially for dyslexia. The Chico Center for Learning does not offer a generalized cookie-cutter approach, but rather, an individualized custom-designed program where I have seen my students grow in confidence, proficiency, and success, both academically and in everyday living. Such expert help right here in Chico!

Both of my children have been seeing the tutors at Chico Center for Learning for many years. Jen, Linda and Marlene have all been life changing educators, and later friends, for our family.

I am so encouraged by the positive growth from one of my students who has attended Chico Center for Learning for the last _____ years. She is confident, thriving, and making tremendous growth in an area that is such a challenge for her naturally. I am especially touched by her willingness to tackle reading books and projects, and truly, I wish more struggling students would utilize or at least try this systematic approach to reading.

We had my daughter tested for dyslexia at 6 years old when she just couldn't learn her alphabet letters. That diagnosis seemed overwhelming to me back then and I wondered what it would mean for her future. After meeting with Marlene, she gave me some materials to use and my daughter was able to learn all her letters and their sounds in just 3 months. She has now been going to tutoring with a Barton tutor at the Chico Center for Learning for over 3 years and is becoming a proficient reader and writer and testing nearly at grade level. I've come to see that dyslexia is actually an amazing part of who my sweet daughter is, but thanks to her wonderful tutor and this amazing program, it doesn't have to define what she's capable of.
